Building on its core competencies in partnerships and training, Impact Hub Nairobi seeks to solve this challenge by working alongside private sector organizations and hubs that support remote workers/freelancers to provide comprehensive soft and business skills to gig economy workers to enable them to enhance their ability to run and grow successful gig careers

We promote sustainable farming through practices like organic farming, precision agriculture, and regenerative techniques. Our approach empowers farmers with knowledge, resources, and technology to optimize harvests, build resilience, and reduce ecological impact. We also help implement climate-resilient strategies, diversify crops, embrace agroforestry, and adopt water management techniques to protect against extreme weather events.

By equipping them with CE knowledge, the hub aims to enable the creation of innovative solutions for resource efficiency, waste reduction, and material reuse.

Impact Hub Nairobi aims to address and mitigate the impacts of climate change mostly in the Kenyan environment, society, and economy. The specific objectives vary depending on the focus and scope, but the overall aim would be to promote sustainability, resilience, and long-term well-being in the face of climate change

IHN conducts landscape analysis of the Electric Mobility sector in Kenya. Thereafter, the findings will focus on how to improve: Sustainability; access to finance; gender; and health & safety. These will be utilised to improve their offering and contribute to positive sociological and ecological project outcomes.

We have developed a deep understanding of the small business ecosystems through practice (e.g. network building, business acceleration), research (e.g. Gender-Lens Acceleration Guide with ANDE and Social Solidarity Economy with OECD), and ecosystem mapping (e.g. Women Run Impact-Driven Enterprises Ecosystem Mapping with INSEAD & Cartier). We also bring a grounded team of highly experienced professionals covering all subregions of Africa.
